We’re back with an Engagement Session at Barnsley Gardens in Adairsville Ga. Not only is this a awesome wedding venue with loads of picturesque scenery for weddings, but its also makes for some great engagement pictures.
This is Jonathan and Natalie…this gorgeous couple will be tying the nuptial knot in October at the Farm at Hickory Ridge in Adairsville just right down the road from Barnsley. We started off in the bamboo forest just outsite the fence of the ruins to warm these guys up as (as if it weren’t hot enough already) and these took to the camera quite nicely.
As i said..no problems warming up here.
Moving to the mansion, we love this doorway with all the algae stained brick wall behind it.
But black and whites look good too!
Ahh the botanicle garden. I love this place…the diversity of flowers..and you know me and flowers…Love the Colors!
Jonathan loves golf.

A Chattanooga Wedding Photography Company
This is our second wedding here at Chattanooga Church. This is a cool little place to have a wedding if its a small one. David and Shelia came to us wanting a wedding on Friday for about 2 hours. We’ve now implemented short weddings into our wedding packages. These guys had us for 2 hours and we got lots of great wedding pictures. More info on the awesome little church can be found here.
Friday weddings are becoming alittle more popular now, due to budgets. Alot of venues give discounts now, for weddings not on Saturday. So if you’re budget conscious, this might be an alternative wedding idea for you. We’ve jumped on board with this idea and now shoot weddings on Fridays and Sundays as well.
A small staure in the courtyard botanicle garden are was a cool place to get some ring shots.
An emotional ceremony
This is one thing we love to see. Thanking God and a prayer of blessings on the family…by the family.
This little one was a ham…she loved getting her picture taken
On to the garden!! The garden is extremely cool. Small but awesome. They made a manmade creek running down hill with a little bridge going over it, lots of plants and rocks lining the creek and brown picket fence going all the way around it under a huge shade tree…very nice.
Then we decided to make our way over to the fountain and the small park area. this was really cool too!
We wish these guys all the best. We thank them for allowing us to be a part of it!!
Chattanooga Wedding Photographers at Fillauer Lake House.
Finally! A wedding at the Fillauer Lake House in Cleveland Tn. We’ve been trying for over a year to grab someone getting married there!!! Every time a new bride has come to us for Fillauer we’ve been booked on their date but at last!!! No More! We finally got our wedding! And it was awesome!!! We’ve done engagements there and we’ve done some shots for Nancy but not an actual wedding…and now….our first time at Fillauer! Can you tell I’m excited?
Fillauer Lake House is absolutely gorgeous. The options for different locations for the wedding ceremony there on the property. The barn, the porch, the lower courtyard and there’s even a place in the uppper courtyard for a very small wedding. Every place is scenic. This wedding ceremony took place on the porch of the mansion and it was fantastic.
This is one of many planters that the bride’s mother had made for the wedding. Truthfully im really not sure what it is about this picture that does it for me but I get the sense that im somewhere else when I look at it…It just feels like a different country to me..and it is…Its Cleveland! Cleveland is awesome!
This is the brides dress and according to Nancy, the coordinator at Fillauer, this has never been done before. We hung the brides dress from a huge chandelier in the barn where weddings and wedding receptions take place.
The Wedding rings; We’ve had several wedding bouquets made of violets this year. One thing to note about violets; though they’re beautiful, the do wilt very quickly when out of water

MEYER! Our bride has 2 wiener dogs…Oscar and Meyer. Is that not awesome..i want to wiener dogs now! I love it! Oh just a plug for Oscar..he couldn’t make it to the wedding. He was a little more grumpy that day….and yes…. That’s a little wiener tux.
The wedding begins!
An emotional moment with dad…:Butterfly kisses was their song and Crista’s dad had no idea they were going to play it for the walk across the courtyard, to the giveaway. It was a tender moment for the two.
A different ring shot
The bride and groom and their time before the reception.
Meyer lovin’ om momma!
Another tender moment…” you’re not losing a momma Meyer…your gaining a daddy!” By the way, Meyer…you look dashing!
We, as always, want to thank Crista and Derek for letting us be a part of their wedding. It was an awesome time. and We wish these two the besta nd we really appreciate them picking us to record their awesome day!

Fall Weddings with your Chattanooga Wedding Photographers
As the fall wedding season aproaches we thought it might be appropriate to add a little “fallness” to our blog. The other day I was speaking with one of our brides about her engagements and she was unclear about time and wondered if it were better to have leaves on the trees or not. Here we have both. This is Cade’s Cove up around Knoxville Tn. Alot of the trees here are evergreens so they wont loose their leaves in the fall, but the other trees, of course, do. Leaves on the ground make a nice accent to pictures…i myself love the fall, not just for the weather, but for the colors and i think that the fallen leaves add alittle more to a picture.
This is Tony and Ruthann. They came to us around a year after they had gotten married and wanted to do a Day After Session. We’d never been to Cade’s Cove before and we were pumped about getting there. I, over the years, had heard about it but never seen it or seen any pictures from it.
Needless to say this is an awesome place….I’d love to tackle a wedding here!
I have to touch on something here about our photography…i love dramatic lighting. I love bold colors. This picture..the darkness surrounding them; It may be matter of taste i guess, but i love pictures like this. Some do… some dont. But the sun seeping through the darkness makes this pic much more dramatic than a well lit environment.
The bold colors
This place was incredible as far as the terrain goes. A creek cut alot Cade’s Cove out leaving little knolls that we perfect for pictures
Vines from diffrent plants…couldnt tell you what they were…my luck would be climbing up a poison ivy vine, lol. But these guys didnt have my luck!
We spent most of out time behind the tourist scenes here in the Cove. There’s a great tourist spot about half way in; a rest area type place where you can stop and take pictures..of course we opted out of the photo ops and went our own way.
We liked what we found better! And no tourists! Much better!
OK so we did use a few places, but it was minimal!
A couple of posed shots
And then Tony took his wife and ran!! We had a blast up there in Cade’s Cove and i’d recommend anyone to go up there. Just have a full take of gas..its a a 7 mile stretch around the Cove and alot of “out of towners” who have never seen a deer before..lets just say that the 7 mile stretch of one lane dirt road becomes a parking lot because they MUST get a picture!!
