Alrigthy! We’re back yet again! and this time we’re traveling to Barnsley Gardens. Barnsley Gardens is an amazing place to have a wedding. These guys didnt have their wedding there, but they did have their Day After Session there and if you have to have a Day After Session locally, this is certainly the place to do it. Its absolutely beautiful here. And we cant get enough of it. In fact, this is only have on the session we did. We had 2 couples with us this day and did a double Day After. You be seeing those alittle later hopefully when time allows, but for now we’ll stick to our young models for the moment.
You guys remember these two, right?
These guys are awesome in front of the camera and i cant tell you how much we enjoy shooting them.
I love this one.
We do this shot alot with people. Not that we like getting the same thing over and over but this picture just oozes with color. From the algae covered walls in the background to the assortment of plants in the planter, the color just works…and truthfully it just doesnt make a bad picture regardless of who you put in front of it.
Arent they just good looking?
This is out in the courtyard where some of the weddings take place. You cant see it in the picture, but just to the left is a vine covered gazebo that looks awesome. Ill be showing it in the other session.
This is the garden that runs along side the courtyard
There are many trails at Barnsley Gardens and most are lined color….and you know me..i dig the flowers! I was told recently at a wedding, by a friend/up and coming photographer thats been shooting with us that im “metrosexual”. Never heard the word before but apparently it means that I have the qualities of both genders, making me all dude with a slight hint of “chick -ness”. Would you like me to elaborate? Of course you would…theres no way im leavin’ that hangin’. SO! What this means is that when it comes getting stuff done..im at the business end of business…and….i can fluff (fix) a wedding dress train literally in 1.25 seconds perfectly. No joke….im that good, lol. And yet you’re probably sitting there saying OMG, you can’t be serious, but if I ever get the chance to fluff one for ya…you still say…..OMG you can’t be serious! Yep!…..Just call me “Metro”
Oh by the way, these shots were heading toward the end of the day…thats not my fluffage in these pics. If I remember correctly, due to time restraints Zach had to fluff. He did ok though.
Back to the colors, Barnsley Gardens is nothing but one big botanical garden and just arrayed with all kinds of colors
Last Year, Barnsley Gardens had a section closed for improvements. This year the Barns at Barnsley were accessible and we definately accessed them!
These guys were in a barn opening that was about 10 feet off the ground. It was a chore getting them up there but we did it with wedding dress in tact!
Here’s another part we didnt have access to previously. I nice little waterfall accessing 2 lakes now instead of one.
Again Barnsley Gardens is an incredible place to have a wedding. Whether in the gardens or the mansion it’s just amazing..you simply cannot go wrong by doing a wedding or any other shoot here. You can find out more information about Barnsley Gardens here.
As for our two models…We love you guys! We’re always looking forward to seeing you again, you fun couple o’ kids!
A Chattanooga Wedding Photography Company, Chattanooga Wedding pictures, Chattanooga Weddings, Coolidge Park, Wedding at Chattanooga Little Theatre
We have a new wedding for you at the Chattanooga Little Theatre in next to Coolidge Park in Downtown Chattanooga. Kevin and Claudia were married May 15th of this year in the Chattanooga Little Theatre courtyard right next to the Tennessee River with a beautiful backdrop: The walking bridge and the Chattanooga Art Museum.
I had trouble deciding which ringshor to put on here so i put them both. Beautiful rings and beautiful flowers.. i got to play with these while our bride was getting ready. I like the diversity of the bouquet. The contrast in colors really made each color stand out.
I have to say this is my favorite…love the closeups with all the pink stuff…..ok so im “florally challenged”. I just know i like it!
So we start out at Level 10…I must say, this is one of the coolest hair places we been to. Their website can be seen here.
The finished do!
The putting on of the dress
and ready to say……
Kevin and the guys.
These rooms here at the Chattanooga Little Theatre are pretty large but when you have a football team of groomsmen, it tends make the room alittle smaller.
Throwing on the final touches before the first look.
Claudia and Kevin chose to do a first look on the walkway in Rennaisance Park, beside Coolidge Park and i must say…she made that park look good!
She was so excited about this moment. I remember she could not wait for Kevin to see her.
Savoring the eye candy, lol
Claudia and Kevin wanted to have the aquarium and the bridge in the background. It made an awesome backdrop, but still didnt compare to what was in the foreground
The wedding party
On to the ceremony! The Chattanooga Little Theatre courtyard made an awesome place to have a wedding. The setting was fantastic..water in the background, the art musem on the cliff the walking bridge in the background…just gorgeous.
And here we go…..
All eye on Claudia for the obvious reason! There were threats of bad weather..thunder rolling in the distance, storm clouds around even rain, it made for an awesome wedding. The weather brought cooler weather and made it a very nice environment for a wedding.
The give away.
This is Ashley. You’ll be seeing her before too long on here. She will be getting married in January. We’ll be doing that one also and we cant wait for that one either! Look for here engagements soon!
The first dance.
Dancing with daddy! You can just tell theyve got a great relationship.
We pulled Kevin and Claudia out of the reception for a few more pics after dark in front of the bridge.
The bridge at night
Back to the reception
I got the finger from one guest!
The reception was lots of fun and we had a blast.
The send off ..and thank goodness the hairdresser went easy on the flammable hair products! It was an awesome night and we wish Kevin and Claudia all the best and i know she’ll read this so we want to say a big THANK YOU for letting us be a part of your wedding day and big hugs. You’re awesome!
A Chattanooga Wedding Photography Company, Weddings at the Fairyland Club, Chattanooga Wedding Photographers
Our latest posted wedding in Chattanooga, or should i say Lookout Mtn Ga. This post is one that we covered on our last blog but this time we’re adding new content. We going to go back a little bit to last year and look at some of Nick and Alex’s engagement pictures before the wedding.
These guys were amazing to photograph. These guys should model on the side.
We took these guys out around Alex’s neighborhood for their engagements. When we got news of this i was skiddish only because a neighbor hood and surrounding area, didnt seem very picturesque to me. Boy was i wrong. It was awesome!
On to the wedding!
Nick had an unusual wedding ring. Square. We dont see many those and i thought…thats just cool. It’s different and we like different dont we? Let me help…yes..yes we do like different.
This is a small part of Alex’s bouquet. This was done by Humphrey’s Flowers out of Chattanooga and they did a marvelous job.
I think the most unusual thing about this picture is that the shiny surface that the wedding flowers are on?….its wood…..and its brown. It’s a piano at the Fairyland Club in the lobby of their main entrance. Its a polished woodgrained piano. The only reason why you can see the wood grain or the brown is the angle in which i shot this. It looks almost like its sittng on something made of black laquer.
Nick and Alex chose to see each other before their wedding with a first look. Older blog posts which are not on our new blog post gave the pros and cons of the first look. We mave ahve to revisit that and post that one back on here since that question seems to come up alot when we talk to people.
And here she comes.
and the look!
The “i can believe my woman makes this dress look this good” thought
The moment of appreciation
After a few moments in the first look we started on their pictures. Obviously we started the picturs in the same spot as the first look since…well..they weren’t done with the moment.
Ya know, some people do well in black and white and some don’t. This whole wedding could be done in black and white and be just as appealing.
See what i mean? They look awesome either way. On to the wedding!
Alex was brought to her wedding ceremony by cadillac.
The “ever growing in popularity” sand ceremony
Thats right! We cover it from more than one angle!
Low Five Daddio!
The first dance…awesome and ballroom style
The father daughter dance.
After the first dance and some time with family and friends in the reception, we jetted back out to the outskirts of the Fairyland Club once more to continue to get more stuff.
I think i mentioned in the last post that if there were flowers anywhere in the area, we’d somehow get those in the shot. Im sucha girl. I just like color too much..very effective.
The garter toss
They really wanted dad to have that garter!
At the end of the night everyone lined up inside for the send off. We had an awesome time shooting Nick and Alex’s wedding. We wish them all the best and as always, it was an honor for us to be a part of it their weding day.
Congrats! You two and when the time comes….you need maternity pics!!!

This is our very first blog post on our new blog and we’re excited! The main reason is it doesnt take as long to get everything done! Well….im excited anyway. So as we dive into our first test blog please check out not only the blog post but the entire site and let us know what you think. Your likes, dislikes, how it makes you feel, is it easy to navigate, what would you change? Your comments are important to us because this is mainly for you!
This is a post from our previous blog. It’s still up and running and attached to our website I havent quite decided what to do with the old blog yet but i wanted to go ahead and get this one going! Remember be brutal in your criticisms….not ugly, lol…just straight forward and honest!
OK here we go!!
Alrighty! We have Brett and Tasia on the big wedding day! We were stoked about this one. We’d never shot a wedding at this venue before so we were primed and ready!! This is Walnut Hill Farms in Dalton Ga. Super awesome place with loads of scenery. It has all kinds of goodies here for wedding photos so let’s just jump into it!!
The only thing better looking than Tasia’s wedding dress was her in it! We hung her dress from the barn/reception hall 2nd floor. First inside, then outside with a shot of the whole barn (not shown).
See what i mean?…Dress….nice! Dress + Tasia…. WOW!
As this just oozes with Coolness…All these guys turnin’ it on for the camera
Four flower girls and each one did something alittle different…one decided to go back , One did the her job like a pro….
One was doing this like a pro and the other i think was down the isle and gone in 1.2 seconds
Here’s Brett…guess who he’s looking at…
Yep! again for those of you who arent letting this soak in….WOW!
The ceremony took place under a large gazebo which was a good thing. If you noticed the bride coming down the isle the sun was beating down on her. This one particular shot..i think we had a cloud…and i think it was the only cloud we had the whole day
Sand ceremonies are becoming increasingly popular and in one of our previous posts on the old blog, I mentioned a couple of benefits. One is you get to take the sand with you and the other is, if its windy…sand doesnt blow out!
Its totally unfair to put this in front of photographers when the photographers are chocoholics. Id go to Chocoholics Anonymous but that’s for quitters.
Beautiful cake…im still stuck on the previous!
Into the garden we go…Lots of great wedding photos but what made it even better was these two. They we’re awesome!
A little wine?
I love color. I dig flowers…im such a girl. I can be manly and love flowers, right?……..right?! If there are flowers around and their not looking drabby…its pretty much a guarantee that it will make it in some of the pictures some how, some way.
I love this pic.
I’ve gotten mixed reviews about this pic..some love it, some dont. Being an avid Honda man, i have an appreciation of the older model cars…you know…before the american made car became crap and Howie Long started doing Chevy commercials. One thing to note about a particular chevy commerical involving the comparison of the chevy line to a Honda lawn mower…The tag line was “we just cant compete with that”….sadly its true…that Honda lawn Mower will outlast those Chevy cars by years! And how does Honda respond?….they dont..they know they dont need to …that’s class!
The reception was awesome ..check out this lighting! Brett and Tasia got the right man for the job! The lighting set was awesome against all the white linens.
Ok …guy in blue tie looks like he’s in pain, guy in brown vest…nazi, lol kidding!
Tasia’s dad rockin’ out in the background!
Still Rockin!…What a cool dad
We had an awesome night full of fun, laughs and love. The one thing i enjoy about weddings is that everyone comes together for a common purpose. The joining of 2 lives becoming one and after that the hats come off and its just people having fun and these guys did…Congrats Brett and Tasia on your new life and thank you so much for letting be a part of it!!!
