We’re back with something alittle different this time. Eight Days After! This Rockin’ group is a blend of Gospel Rock and Country and man they sound awesome! . Here’s a bio of the group and pictures
Tim Chastain’s Bio - Raised up near the beautiful mountains of Northwest Georgia and East Tennessee, Tim’s music influences come from a wide range of Gospel, Country, Blues and Southern Rock. Some people say Tim’s music influence began in his mother’s womb. When he was five, he started singing with his family. He grew up in a small church surrounded by many talents. As he grew, so did his love for music. Being influenced by secular music helped him mold and shape his vocal sound. Not only is he a gifted singer and songwriter, he is also a Minister of the Gospel. In 1998, Tim announced his call to preach. On November 3rd, 2000, Tim received his Certificate of Ordination. He started a Southern Gospel Trio with his wife, Sandy, and their long time friend, Robbie Moore, called New Direction. They traveled with a full band of musicians backing them until it came to an end in 2004. After taking a year and half off the road, Tim felt inspired to go back. He formed Eight Days After in 2006 with a vision to reach audiences by presenting the gospel of Christ with a Country and Southern Rock edge.
Will Aronld’s Bio - I was born August 5, 1949 in Dallas, GA. I started plating guitar at age 10. At age 12, I started playing guitar at local American Legions, and VFW’s. I played clarinet and drums in the hish school band. At 15, I moved to Smyrna, GA and helped form a group called “The Ledgens”. We signed a recording contract with ABC Paramount Records when I was 16. We did a summer tour across the United States in the summer or ’66 with four other groups. I joined the “King James Version” in 1969 in Jacksonville, FL. Members of that band included Leon “Thumper” Wilkeson, Butch Lanham, and Buzzy Deloach. Throughout the 60′s, 70′s, 80′s, and 90′s, I played concerts and clubs all over the United States. I did some studio work in Tampa, Miami, Jacksonville, Atlanta, Muscle Shoals, Los Angeles, New York, Dalton, and Minneapolis/St. Paul. I have shared the stage with such notables as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ted Nugent, Foghat, Wet Willie, Van Morrison, Pat Travers, and many others. I started playing guitar with Christian singers in 2001, and started playing exclusively in church venues in 2006. I started teaching guitar and bass in 2002. I prayed for years that God would use my talents to glorify His kingdom, and I was given that opportunity when I was asked to join this band in 2010. Thank you Jesus!
Ricky Asher’s Bio - Hello, my name is Ricky Asher. I live in Kensington Ga. I am 39 years young. I have been married to my wife, Shannon, for 16 years and we have 3 children: Melanie 14, Cole 12, and Jordan 11. I started playing the bass guitar when I was 15 years old with a 80’s rock band. From there, I started playing in clubs and bars all around the Chattanooga area until the age of 27. It was a Sunday morning in January, 1999 when the Lord got a hold of me, saved my soul, and completely changed my life. Since that time I have just been trying to serve Him and lift up His name in anyway that I can. I believe strongly that as a Christian that it’s NOT my job to judge anyone, but to show love and compassion to all, and to always lift up the name of JESUS at every opportunity.
Kevin Williams Bio - I was born on April 29, 1969. I live in Cleveland, TN with my wonderful wife Amanda. It was 1980 when a friend of mine had a set of drums in a yard sale. I came home and told my parents that if I had those drums I knew I could play them. They bought them for me and I taught myself how to play and I played all kinds of music by listening to the radio or cassette tapes. At age 12, I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into my heart and I felt the annointing tug towards gospel music. When I was in the 7th grade I joined a Southern Gospel group called the Relatives, from Benton, TN. Later I joined the Gospel Lights Trio, then the SongMasters. I took a break from traveling with Gospel groups for a few years. In the early 90′s a friend and I started a gospel group called Holy Ground. While with Holy Ground, we played with Karen Peck and New River a few times. God was moving me in a different direction, so I started playing with Mercy’s Bridge in the mid 90′s. While with Mercy’s Bridge, we shared the stage with New Song, The Perry’s, The Bishops and Ivan Parker. That is also when I met Tim Chastain. What a mighty God we have that he would put us together again some 20 years later in his band Eight Days After. I played with several other gospel groups through the years, including Spirit Song, The Hymnsmen, Micah, The Prince Family from Norcross, GA and Emi Sunshine and Perfect Joy Revival. God gave me this talent and I have devoted my life to serving Him through music. Acts 20:24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself so that I might finish my course with joy and the ministry which I have received of the Lord Jesus to testify the Gospel of the Grace of God.
