Highschools Seniors | Modeling | Chattanooga TN | Portraits

Chattanooga Modeling and Portrait Photography

We’re back with another senior session in Downtown Chattanooga Tn by the Tennessee Aquarium. The last senior session you may remember, we ended with a night shoot with a boy and his truck, but this time we’re going to end with a girl and her four wheeler. But before all that let have a look see at who we have. This is “Nique”  short for Dominique. Nique wants to be a model and she’s well on her way. She’s gorgeous and when she stepped in front of the camera, there was no shyness..fromthe time she started she was workin’ it…her Senior Session quickly became a modeling session.  We had a hard time stopping with her. Sometimes it takes some people time to warm up in front of the camera…and some never do….but Nique?……uhhhhh….no. She was incredible.

Ok…loving the blue streaks….nice accent.

Got several favs and this is one of them

another fav.

And  in the middle…..another

We wind the day down with a nice leisurely ride….through a giant mud puddle!!!  We had a blast with Nique and hope to see her again in helping with her modeling career!

Wedding at Barnsley Garden | Chattanooga TN | Wedding and Portrait Photographers

Wedding Photography at Barnsley Garden, Chattanooga Wedding Photographers

Our next wedding takes place at BarnsleyGardens. This is our first wedding at Barnsley and  we had a blast….though we didn’t have loads of time for pictures, we scrambled to get everything we could within the timeframe we had.  But first we started out at Berry College in Rome Ga. The wedding party met up here and decided they wanted start here. The pics turned out great…Have a look!

Chris is a Rubic’s Cube fanatic. It was totally messed up and he solved while walking to the first location….he loves his Cube!

The moment these guys have been waiting for.

After the ceremony everyone took off toRedtopMountainabout an hour away and Tiffany and Chris stayed behind to have some pics. And Who wouldn’t..Barnsleyis beautiful and a serious waste if you don’t take advantage of it…BUT WE HAD TO HURRY!!!! So in, I think, 45 mins..we went nuts…the pictures look like we took our time and just leisurely walked around snapping pics at our convenience……uh, no.

We had to hurry to get to the reception because they only had it for a short time, so the scrambling ensued!

We come to the end of a beautiful day and an awesome wedding…one thing to mention here, that has nothing to do with this emotionally charged day…well, ok im wrong….the emotions ran high when we got to the reception and there…before me….behold! A giant grill that was built on to its own trailer and on that piping hot iron  towering trailer of goodness…..sirloin steak on a stick. I wept. I realized at that moment…id love this couple forever.  Time stopped, sound ceased and the aroma therapy of grilled meat filled the air….and then my wife….whos voice cut through the aroma like a laser right into my ears……”Dont! We have work to do”.   She was right! I wept again. Snapping out of it, we finished out the night and Chris and Tiffany had a night they wouldnt soon forget. And oh yes…..i had meat.

Chris and Tiffany’s wedding can be seen in the MORE GALLERIES section of our website, here.

Newborn Photography | Chattanooga TN | Maternity Photography

Chattanooga Maternity and Newborn Photographers

…..because pictures never grow up.

Alright! We’re back and this time, we’re focusing on Newborn Photography in our studio. Maternity and Newborn Photography is on the rise.  Newborn Photography Sessions are a little different than your normal or even abnormal photography sessions. The time and how long the shoot lasts is pretty much up to the baby…period.

We’ve had newborn sessions last an hour and a half and we had them last 3 hours. Its all up to the baby…and some decisions you make before you come to the studio for the session which we will gladly sit down and talk with you about before we ever meet at the Studio.

The same with Maternity. Maternity is becoming more popular as well and we cater to that with a session of each. And becasue so many poeple have so many differnt ideas about what they want we require a meeting before hand to discuss what type of maternity session we will be doing.

Here’s some of our newborns from in studio

We love Newborn Photography…this truly is a time when you can never have this opportunity again…The newborn session is done before the no more than 2 weeks after the baby is born. This is a crucial time because  the baby sleeps alot. Once you get past that point its very hard to get these type of pictures.

And why is this so important? Because pictures never grow up.

Second Presbyterian Church Wedding | The Mill Reception | Chattanooga TN

TN Wedding and Portrait Photographers

We’re taking a step back to the first wedding we had this year, because we never really gave this wedding and reception the kudos it deserved.  The wedding takes place at Second Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga and the reception at The Mill in Chattanooga.

The reason we’re going back to this wedding is that this is one of the most memorable receptions we’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing…and you’ll see why shortly.

But first, the wedding; Second Presbyterian Church is one of the coolest places in downtown Chattanooga to get married. Its old Historic church remodelled keeping as much of the original structure as possible. Second Presbyterian Church looks more like an Ampi-theatre than a church. A beatuifully crafted sanctuary that no matter where you sit, its not a bad seat. The pews wrap around the alter in an old theatre like setting. Just gorgeous! Have a look!

The Place, The Rings, The Dress….and the Ride…sweet!

The First Look is now  rapidly taking over the ”not seeing eachother” before the wedding… The wedding is so much less stressfull because all the family pictures that stop the couple from getting to the reception with everyone else, can now be done beforehand and theres not wait to start the reception…everyone wins!

The Ceremony….Heres something to make a note of at  ”2nd Pres”  and other churches as well. The only time flash was used was this last pic (bottom right) with Tyler and Ashley leaving. Depending on who does the wedding, determines whether or not flash can be used. Be sure to check with all churches and see what their restrictions are. In this case…the pastor of the church did the ceremony so no flash…the next wedding we shot there was a different pastor so we could use flash.

 The Entrance

 The Kang!!!

And all His people.

Let me pause here for a sec to say this; Ive never seen a group of friends so tight. These guys, when you step into the atmosphere of these people, you can tell they really care about eachother…we should all be so lucky to have an awesome set of friends like this…also, this is the first time we’ve ever had the bride and groom picked up and did a mosh pit smooch!

And needless to say, throughout……the Party

This had come to be one of the most memorable weddings to date for us…not only was the couple and their freinds so fun to be around, but the lighting, the atmosphere, the love…it was incredible. We wish Tyler and Ashley all the best and Happy New year and in Just a few days…Happy Anniversary!!!

Patten Chapel Wedding | Read House Reception | Chattanooga TN

Chattanooga TN Wedding Photographers

Our next couple decided to get married at Patten Chapel on the UTC campus and then took their celebration to The Read house in Downtown Chattanooga.  We had an awesome time with these guys and they knew how to bring it, but we’ll get to that. Weddings at Patten Chapel are awesome..its one of our favorite places to shoot. The rustic look of the chapel needs little if any decorations to make this an awesome place to get married. But first lets head to the Read House where everything started…and ended. Our day starts off with our bride and her ladies getting ready.

After getting ready Meghan and Joe decided to do a “First Look”. The is there thebride and groom see each other for the first time before the wedding.  Although some folks cant help NOT leaving them alone. The seem to have an audience just inside the Patten Chapel hallway entrance.  The First Look is becoming very popular and make the day go so much smoother.  The Big thing is that all the family pictures can be done before hand so everyone can go straight to the reception without having to wait on pictures..They’re done!

After the Wedding Ceremony we took a trip downtown for a few shots in Miller Plaza and the Hunter Art Museum

From there? Nuttin’ but Party!

We want to thank Meghan and Joe for the awesome opportunity to be a part of their special day and capture their memories. What an incredible day…and Congrats on your new life together!
