    My wife and I are are both Wedding Photographers in Chattanooga TN and through this blog we hope to share with you our journey as wedding photographers with all the laughs, love, and cherished moments of everyone we come in contact with. Chattanooga Steampunk Wedding Photography

Here’s our first Steampunk wedding at the Lindsey Treet Hall in Chattanooga TN. This wedding was incredible in that it was so relaxed and off beat that its been one of our favorite weddings. In case you dont know what steampunk is, its a literary genre, or least a subgenre of science fiction and fantasy that includes social or technological aspects of the 19th century (the steam) usually with some deconstruction of, reimagining of, or rebellion against parts of it (the punk)( Definition pulled from Steampunk.com). Taking Place in the victorian era, hense the clothes, with the use of gears as accents, tricked out fantasy type guns and a staple of the steampunk genre…goggles. When we were asked to to the wedding, i couldnt wait..the bride and Groom are involved in LARP and Cosplay and the Bride and i have worked together before…you can see our other work at http://charisphtotgraphyllc.com  located in the Cosplay and LARP Section as Catwoman. Our next wedding takes place at The Car Barn in Chattanooga Tn. The Car barn is an unusual place in that it has 3D wall murals of different attractions in Chattanooga throughout the the main event area in the building. Very Cool! It makes great backdrops when doing theose family formals! The Car barn is off Lee Highway.

The Car Barn has alot of really cool things about it..one of which is the replicas of all the old firetrucks and antiques cars….so i thought i’d make good use of it!!

The Car Barn is a great place to have a wedding and reception. Though the lighting in it is somewhat tricky, it makes for some great shots with lots of different backgrounds and just plain good pictures of fun memories that will last a lifetime. We want to thank Jon and Carrie for letting us be a part of their special day and allowing us to capture all the fun and exciting memories of one of the most important days in their lives .   We’re back again! This wedding takes place at Whitestone Inn in Kingston Tn. This wedding was amazing!! Our couple originally chose a church in Knoxville Tn but decided to go with Whitestone Inn in Kingston Tn instead. And they made the right choice!! Whitestone Inn is an incredible place to have a wedding and the pictures are amazing.  Have a look!!

Amanda McKnight with Bangs and Blush did an incredible job with Tracy and her party and stayed until the wedding for touch ups to  make sure  that Tracy looked at her absolute best when she walked down the isle.

  Charis Photography is moving into a lot of new directions. One Is body building and fitness.  Body Building is a huge sport..literally! And this is our first photo shoot of physique competitor who will competing in the Battle at the River on June 9th 2012. We’re moving in to all areas of Fitness. If it can be shot, we’ll shoot it; Body builders, physique competitors, fitness training, swimsuit models, in studio, on location…we don’t care.  Whether it be for portfolios or just personal sessions with family or self.

  This is Nelu.  This is actually Nelu’s first time in our studio and i believe first time ever doing pictures and starting her portfolio and she was absolutely amazing. Nelu has competed on the National level in the Figure Category and has recently placed 2nd in the Arnold Amateur 2012!

 I love working with her so much, I’m doing it again!  She’s coming back to the studio for some high key swimsuit modeling and we’re gonna see how that rock hard body looks in a different light…We’re going to lose the harsh dramatic shadows and soften the her up a bit in high key lighting.  and I’m guessing that Nelu will look just as amazing in high key as she does in the dramatic .  Take a look:

 

 

  Ok……uh…WOW!   We already see that when we pull some of the shadows away, it gives a whole new softer look to Nelu and it almost changes her physique totally and shes bring sexy to the workout scene I cant wait for the next session. Look for more body building coming your way.  In our upcoming sessions we’re going to incorporate, dramatic lighting, High Key and swimsuit modeling. We’re going to be building whole portfolios in one session so stick around..we’re just gettin’ started!

  And Nelu gave me a great idea…anyone we take pictures of we’re going to do a bio, right here on our blog. So not only  are we gonna show off the hard work you’ve done on the body…we’re gonna brag about the competitions too! And hopefully if i can get to a couple competitions..we’ll post our people in action!

Chattanooga  Headshot Modeling and Portrait Photography

 We’re back with an addition to our studio: Headshots….and we’re excited!! We’re now doing studio headshots for pageants and modeling agencies.  Whether you’re just getting started or or seasoned in the pageant world, we’re available anytime for your career in modeling. With our headshots, we also include some fashion and modeling to go with it.

  We dont just hand you headshots out of the camera we make sure ever single picture you choose for your headshots is flawless. ….and our retouching comes standard, not extra.
